Bittersweet Day: Day Four in El Salvador

Day four in El Salvador was filled with celebrations and tears as the well was completed and the team members and the people of Comunidad Marvin said their farewells.

After the team completed the well, the people of the village and Triumph team members gathered together for the well dedication ceremony. The special afternoon was filled with a celebration, games, a puppet show and a skit. The team members’ hearts were overjoyed to spend this time of celebration with their new friends. Kevin H., Tom S. and Keith S. shared heartfelt words with the village at the end of a life-changing week.

When the time came for the team to say goodbye to their new friends, tears were shed. These tears were a combination of sadness and happiness. The team members knew they would miss their new friends, but knew they were leaving the people they have come to love with life-giving, clean water.
