Making a Difference with Behind Every Door

September 9, 2016

On August 18th, Triumph team members volunteered their time at the back to school kickoff for Behind Every Door, or BED for short. Triumph provided 130 school supply kits, including pens, pencils, notebooks, folders and more for the students of the Village Oaks Apartments in south Dallas.

Triumph wasn’t the only organization making a difference at the south Dallas apartment complex this year. A local salon offered free haircuts and another business brought in a “Vision Bus,” inviting all residents to get their eyesight checked. Truckers Café also provided backpacks and additional school supplies, as well as snacks, for the kids.

“For several years now, Triumph has had the honor of helping the kids of Village Oaks start their school year off on the right foot,” said Brandi Patton, philanthropy specialist for Triumph. “As a long-time supporter of BED, we are pleased to support an organization that helps train future leaders, serves the less fortunate, and establishes viable communities right here in our home city.”
