Triumph’s Dallas and Coppell team members were eager to take on the roles of Santa’s helpers by providing Christmas gifts for approximately 90 children that come from low income families in Dallas with what we call, Triumph’s Giving Tree. The real fun came on Thursday, December 17th and Friday, December 18th, when team members joined the kids’ Christmas parties to deliver their gifts and see their excitement!
Triumph Business Capital partnered with Behind Every Door to provide gifts for the students involved in Kid’s Club. Behind Every Door is a results-focused program that has seen crime decrease, apartment turnover rates reduced, and an increased sense of community for residents of low-income apartments in Dallas. This was the fourth year Triumph joined in the holiday fun with Kid’s Club.
“We had a great time getting to know all of the kids involved with Behind Every Door,” Triumph Business Capital team member Meaghan Regan said. “From the minute we arrived, we were invited with open arms to take part in their Christmas party activities. Once the Christmas activities wrapped up, the kids joined us in the gym where we had all of their gifts waiting under the Christmas tree in the center of the boxing ring in the gym. Each child waited with anticipation for their name to be called. Once they were called, they climbed into the boxing ring with some of the biggest, most appreciative smiles I have ever seen. Not one child left the boxing ring without having thanked each and every one of our volunteers for their gifts. After all of the excitement, I asked one of the young girls in attendance what she hoped to have received for Christmas. She simply stated, “anything I can share with my sister.” The graciousness in the hearts of each and every one of the children participating in the Behind Every Door program was overwhelming and something I will not soon forget!
Triumph’s Dallas office partnered with Heart House to provide Christmas gifts for the children involved with their afterschool program at two of the locations. Heart House Dallas was founded in 2000 as a 501(c)(3), to give the children of the Vickery Meadow neighborhood a chance to thrive, through afterschool programs located within their community. This was the first time Triumph has partnered with Heart House, and we loved the opportunity to learn about the great work of another great local organization.
Triumph Capital Advisor team member Barry Boland has been involved with Heart House for a year and half and serves as a board member. “It’s great to be involved with an organization that is serving at-risk youth in our community near where we live and work. I’m glad I had the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with the kids of Heart House and my colleagues. The kids were so excited and appreciative as they unwrapped gifts from their wish lists.”
Thank you to all team members and families who helped shop for these children, wrap gifts, load and deliver gifts, and participated in the Christmas parties.
We hope you had a Merry Christmas!
